Howard Tenens Logistics have entered the Ashby town soapbox event!
Located on Dents Road, Howard Tenens Logistics have actively been seeking ways to engage with the Ashby community when they came across the advertisement for the towns Soapbox Derby.
It is a perfect opportunity to showcase their warehouse and logistics services while highlighting their commitment to environmental responsibility.
Isla has taken charge of the project as part of her Business Administration end point assessment. She has worked closely with the Ashby team, leveraging their unique skills and creativity to embody HT's collaborative spirit.
Their strategy is simple yet compelling: repurpose recycled materials from the warehouse to construct a Soapbox kart inspired by Howard Tenens' original fleet lorry, the Morris Lorry.
In addition to their internal team efforts, the Howard Tenens team reached out to local businesses inclusive of Wickes who helped source necessary materials and give advise on the best tools. The team won't suffer from 'Kartbarrassment'
Lizzie Abell emphasised the importance of employee engagement within their culture. Every Ashby team member played a role in the project, from brainstorming sessions to hands-on building, everyone had a role to play in bringing our Soapbox kart to life.
The entire Ashby team is eagerly anticipating the day of the derby. They will witness their Health & Safety manager confidently cruising down Market Street, embodying Howard Tenens' community spirit like never before.
