You wouldn’t know from the outside just how much is inside Papillon Bleu; the shop is truly an Aladdin’s Cave of wool and haberdashery items, stocking everything you might need for your latest project and a lot, lot more. If she doesn’t have exactly what you need, she can usually order it in for you. It’s little wonder Yvonne has customers who travel from as far as Leicester and Derby to visit the shop. Yvonne says what she loves most about running the shop is the fact that no two days are ever the same. It’s this, along with the people she gets to meet and talk to, that make her so happy to be doing

VERITY'S NAIL CREATIONS, HAIR & BEAUTY

Verity’s Nail Creations, Hair & Beauty Studio is the longest established nail

salon in Ashby, having been in Rushton’s Yard for 20 years. Although much has changed over that time, the passion that Verity had when she started hasn’t. Verity started out working in the salon and when the opportunity came up to purchase the business, she didn’t let the

fact that she was a lone parent to young children get in her way. Since then, the business has gone from strength to

strength. The salon prides itself on offering a warm, friendly, service and their quaint, quiet courtyard setting makes you feel instantly transported from the hustle and bustle of Market Street, although they are

only a few steps away. Offering a huge range of services, the salon’s aim is to make each and every customer look and feel amazing. Their extensive range of waxing, tanning, and other beauty services helps them to achieve this. They also offer injectable aesthetics in a clinic setting. They are a registered Derma-logical skin care centre

offering advanced expert advice which is always in high demand. For the last 8 years, they have added hairdressing as a service provided in the salon and have grown quite a reputation as blonde specialists. When asked what she likes most about running the salon, Verity said she feels incredibly lucky to be running a business so well established that clients have, over time, become friends!
