Blackfordby Events Group have entered their soapbox to support the fundraising and awareness of this year’s Blackfordby Festival Weekend (30th August – 1st September, all welcome to join).
The team of six friends – Paul, Lawrie, Colin, Norman, Adam and Archie (12) – are all petrol heads with a love of speed and competition! They have called on their combined engineering skills, enthusiasm and creativity – but most of all had great fun throughout the process.
A ‘go fund me’ page has been set up for donations https://gofund.me/985c2225 which will all go towards the Blackfordby Festival Weekend, villagers and local communities all welcome.
Paul comments ‘our kart is themed on a very famous red 5 but with a twist, it is pretty much ready to go, we are very pleased to have secured sponsorship from some local businesses in support of this year’s Blackfordby Festival. The final design will be released on the day, look out for the red 5, cheer us on and for sure you’ll hear us coming!’
